As students begin to prepare for the start of the 2017-18 school year and discuss the classes they will be taking, people might wonder, “What ever happened to Home Economics and why don’t schools teach it anymore?” The answer is that it never really went away, however the names have changed and the focus has shifted. These days it is definitely not just for girls, but prepares both male and female students with skills needed for success after graduation.
